Chevrolet engine diagram - technical information
Numbering of cylinders of the engine is conducted from a crankshaft pulley. On the left side of a head of the cylinder block about its bottom plane number of each cylinder, and also an operating procedure of cylinders (1-3-4-2) is cast. Engine cylinders are united together with the top part of a crankcase in uniform pig-iron casting. In a cylinder block heel on five bearing parts the bent shaft is established. As bearings of bearing parts of a bent shaft thin-walled liners are applied. The front and rear ends of a bent shaft are condensed by rubber epiploons. In each cylinder of the engine is available on one inlet and to an outlet valve. The cylinder block head is attached to the block by eleven bolts. Between a head and the block the layer pad is established. From above the block head is closed by a steel stamped cover under which the sealing gasket is established. A lubricating system combined, under pressure. Compulsory circulation of a liquid in system is provided with a water pump with a drive gear from a bent shaft with the help of a V belt simultaneously serving by a drive gear of the generator. The engine feed system consists of the electric fuel pump established in a fuel tank, throttle knot, the filter of thin clearing of fuel, a pressure regulator of fuel, spray jets and fuel hoses. The ignition system consists of the module of the ignition established on a special bracket on the cylinder block, spark plugs and spark plug cables.
