Chevrolet fuse block diagrams - technical information

The majority of supply circuits of an electrical equipment of Chevrolet protected by fuse plugs. The chain of a charge of the accumulator battery, a chain of start-up of the engine, the generator are not protected by fuses. Fuses and the relay are established in the block which is in a passenger compartment under the panel of devices on the left side from a steering tube. The fuse block of system of injection is located under the panel of devices around feet of the passenger. Fuses of electrofans of system of cooling are in the block of safety locks of system of injection.

Before to replace fused safety lock, find out the reason of its combustion and eliminate it. At troubleshooting see the chains specified which are protected by the given fuse. Always have with itself the complete set of spare fuses. Do not replace fuses with crosspieces and the fuses calculated on other force of a current, or a self-made crosspiece (rated current of a fuse 10 A - colour of a fuse: red; rated current of a fuse 15 A - colour of a fuse: blue; rated current of a fuse 20 A - colour of a fuse: yellow; rated current of a fuse 30 A - colour of a fuse: pink.). It can lead to damage of electric devices and even to a fire.

1. Turn out two screws and remove a cover of the block of safety locks and the relay.

2. Turn out screws of fastening of the block.

3. Take away the block downwards so that to get access to pads of wires.

4. Unhook pads with wires, preliminary having marked them.

5. Hook a screw-driver and remove a pad of the additional unloading relay from the block.

6. Remove the block of safety locks and the relay from the car.

7. Establish the block of safety locks and the relay in an order, the return to removal.
